Worth knowing about the 2015 Mazda6

  • Connector. Both front blades use a j-hook connector. A blade of the right length with the wrong connector will not clip on, so check the connector before you buy.
  • LED lighting. The brake light, tail light are sealed LED units with no user-replaceable bulb. A failure means replacing the assembly.
  • Bulbs. These are the halogen-headlight bulbs; Grand Touring models have D4S xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights, and the trunk-lid taillights take W5W bulbs.
  • Spare. This vehicle carries a compact (temporary) spare, size T125/70D17. Search Amazon for spare tires →
  • Tire chains. The manual permits tire chains or cables, within limits on which tires and which wheels. Those limits are in the next note; read them before you fit anything. Search Amazon for tire chains →
  • Tires. The manual allows chains on the front tires only and names no size limit.
  • Wheels. The manual gives a lug nut torque range of 80 to 108 lb-ft.
  • Dimensions. The figures above are for the 2.5L automatic; other body configurations differ in length, wheelbase and weight.
