Worth knowing about the 2020 Mazda6

  • Connector. Both front blades use a push-button connector. A blade of the right length with the wrong connector will not clip on, so check the connector before you buy.
  • LED lighting. The low beam, high beam, daytime running, front turn signal, rear turn signal, brake light, tail light, reverse light, license plate are sealed LED units with no user-replaceable bulb. A failure means replacing the assembly.
  • Bulbs. Some models use a W21/5W (7444) bulb for the front parking lights; every other exterior lamp is a sealed LED.
  • Spare. This vehicle carries a compact (temporary) spare.
  • Tire chains. The manual permits tire chains or cables, within limits on which tires and which wheels. Those limits are in the next note; read them before you fit anything. Search Amazon for tire chains →
  • Tires. The manual lists two temporary spares, T125/70R17 and T135/80D17, both at 60 psi; chains go on the front tires only.
  • Wheels. The manual gives a lug nut torque range of 80 to 108 lb-ft.
  • Key fob. The manual lists two key types: Type A takes a CR2025 and Type B a CR2032.
  • Dimensions. The figures above are for the 2.5L automatic; other body configurations differ in length, wheelbase and weight.
