Worth knowing about the 2019 GLC
- Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 111 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
- Wheels. The GLC uses wheel bolts rather than lug nuts, tightened in a crosswise pattern.
- Roof load. The 165 lb roof limit is the dynamic figure for driving and includes the rack itself. It is not a limit for a rooftop tent when parked; the manual gives no static figure.
- Garage fit. Allow 15.3 ft of length and 6.9 ft of width with the mirrors out.
- Octane. Premium (91 octane) is required, not recommended; the manual says so.
- Fuel. The manual calls for premium and allows regular 87 AKI only as a temporary measure, filling no more than half the tank and avoiding full throttle.
