Worth knowing about the 2024 GLC

  • Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 111 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
  • Wheels. The GLC uses wheel bolts rather than lug nuts; tighten them in a diagonal pattern, first to 59 ft-lb and then to the final figure.
  • Garage fit. Allow 15.5 ft of length and 6.9 ft of width with the mirrors out.
  • Fuel. The manual calls for premium-grade gasoline at the octane shown on the fuel filler flap label and allows regular only as a temporary half-tank measure.
