Worth knowing about the 2023 Outlander

  • Wipers. The 12-inch rear blade fits a snap-claw arm, so buy one listed for this model.
  • LED lighting. The low beam, high beam, fog light, daytime running, front turn signal, brake light, tail light, license plate are sealed LED units with no user-replaceable bulb. A failure means replacing the assembly.
  • Bulbs. The manual lists the rear turn signal (21 W) and back-up light (16 W) as bulbs but does not name their codes.
  • No spare. This vehicle shipped without a spare tire; it carries an inflator and sealant kit instead. Keep the kit in date, or carry a compact spare. Search Amazon for inflator kits →
  • Tire chains. The manual says not to fit tire chains on this vehicle.
  • Roof load. The 176 lb roof limit is the dynamic figure for driving and includes the rack itself. It is not a limit for a rooftop tent when parked; the manual gives no static figure.
  • Roof. The 176 lb figure is the roof side rails' rating, and cross bars must not exceed their own rating.
  • Dimensions. The figures above are for the SE 20-inch wheels; other body configurations differ in length, wheelbase and weight.
