Worth knowing about the 2007 Altima

  • Connector. Both front blades use a j-hook connector. A blade of the right length with the wrong connector will not clip on, so check the connector before you buy.
  • Bulbs. The H11 low beam is for halogen headlights; xenon headlights take a D2R.
  • Spare. This vehicle carries a compact (temporary) spare.
  • Tire chains. The manual permits chains or cables of SAE Class S (low clearance), on the drive wheels only, fitted to the standard tire size. Chains for this size on Amazon →
  • Tires. The compact spare is a T135/70R16 or T135/90R16, and the manual allows only SAE Class S chains on the front wheels, with a minimum clearance listed for each wheel size.
  • Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 83 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
  • TPMS. New sensors on this car need a relearn (tool); they will not pair on their own by driving.
  • Key fob. The manual gives a battery only for the Intelligent Key.
  • Fuel. NISSAN recommends premium 91 octane for the 3.5-liter V6 and allows 87 with reduced performance.
