Worth knowing about the 2016 Altima
- Connector. Both front blades use a j-hook connector. A blade of the right length with the wrong connector will not clip on, so check the connector before you buy.
- Bulbs. The H11 low beam is for halogen headlights; the LED headlights on upper trims and the 3.5 models are sealed units, and fog-equipped cars carry a PS19W daytime running bulb in the fog light housing.
- Spare. This vehicle carries a compact (temporary) spare.
- Tire chains. The manual permits chains or cables of SAE Class S (low clearance), on the drive wheels only, fitted to the standard tire size. Chains for this size on Amazon →
- Tires. The manual does not permit tire chains on 18-inch wheels.
- Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 83 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
- TPMS. New sensors on this car need a relearn (tool); they will not pair on their own by driving.
- Key fob. Match the FCC ID (KR5S180144014) printed on the back of your fob when buying a replacement; the same car can use two fob designs in one year. A new fob still needs programming to the car.
- Key fob. Cars with remote engine start use a five-button fob, part 285E3-9HP5A.
- Dimensions. The figures above are for the 2.5 SV; other body configurations differ in length, wheelbase and weight.
