Worth knowing about the 2017 Armada
- Connector. Both front blades use a j-hook connector. A blade of the right length with the wrong connector will not clip on, so check the connector before you buy.
- Wipers. The rear blade clips onto a Rock Lock 3 arm, so choose a rear blade listed for this model rather than by length alone.
- LED lighting. The low beam, daytime running, tail light are sealed LED units with no user-replaceable bulb. A failure means replacing the assembly.
- Bulbs. The low beams, daytime running lights and taillights are sealed LED units.
- Spare. This vehicle carries a full-size spare.
- Tire chains. The manual permits chains or cables of SAE Class S (low clearance), on the drive wheels only, fitted to the standard tire size. Chains for this size on Amazon →
- Tires. The manual allows SAE Class S chains on the rear wheels only, on any of the factory tire sizes.
- Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 98 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
- TPMS. New sensors on this car need a relearn (tool); they will not pair on their own by driving.
- Key fob. Match the FCC ID (CWTWB1U787) printed on the back of your fob when buying a replacement; the same car can use two fob designs in one year. A new fob still needs programming to the car.
- Key fob. A five-button key with remote start (FCC CWTWB1G744) was also offered.
- Roof load. The 221 lb roof limit is the dynamic figure for driving and includes the rack itself. It is not a limit for a rooftop tent when parked; the manual gives no static figure.
- Roof. The rating applies to the roof side rails, within the accessory crossbars' own limit.
