Worth knowing about the 2025 Armada
- Wipers. Blade makers disagree on this model's passenger and rear blade lengths, so check the old blades before buying.
- LED lighting. The low beam, high beam, fog light, daytime running, front turn signal, rear turn signal, brake light, tail light, reverse light, license plate are sealed LED units with no user-replaceable bulb. A failure means replacing the assembly.
- Spare. This vehicle carries a full-size spare.
- Tire chains. The manual permits chains or cables of SAE Class S (low clearance), on the drive wheels only, fitted to the standard tire size. Chains for this size on Amazon →
- Tires. The manual allows SAE Class S chains on the rear wheels only, on any factory size, and grades with 20- or 22-inch wheels carry an 18-inch spare meant for temporary use.
- Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 98 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
- TPMS. New sensors on this car need a relearn (tool); they will not pair on their own by driving.
- Roof load. The 221 lb roof limit is the dynamic figure for driving and includes the rack itself. It is not a limit for a rooftop tent when parked; the manual gives no static figure.
- Roof. The rating applies to the roof side rails, within the crossbars' own limit, and loads must never sit directly on the rails.
- Dimensions. Height is for 18-inch-wheel models and air-suspension models such as the PRO-4X; models with 20-inch wheels and ProPILOT Assist 2.1 but no air suspension stand 78.3 inches.
- Octane. The manual requires 87 octane and recommends 91 for full performance. Regular will not harm the engine; premium is a choice, not a requirement.
- Fuel. Premium is recommended for full performance, and regular 87 is allowed with a small drop in performance.
