Worth knowing about the 2023 Frontier
- Connector. Both front blades use a j-hook connector. A blade of the right length with the wrong connector will not clip on, so check the connector before you buy.
- LED lighting. The rear turn signal, brake light, tail light, reverse light, license plate are sealed LED units with no user-replaceable bulb. A failure means replacing the assembly.
- Bulbs. HB5, 7444NA, H8 and W21W apply to the halogen lamps on S and SV; LED headlights, fog and signature lights on upper trims are sealed units.
- Spare. This vehicle carries a full-size spare.
- Tire chains. The manual permits chains or cables of SAE Class S (low clearance), on the drive wheels only, fitted to the standard tire size. Chains for this size on Amazon →
- Tires. The manual allows SAE Class S chains on the rear wheels only, on any of the factory tire sizes.
- Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 98 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
- TPMS. New sensors on this car need a relearn (tool); they will not pair on their own by driving.
- Key fob. Match the FCC ID (KR5TXN7) printed on the back of your fob when buying a replacement; the same car can use two fob designs in one year. A new fob still needs programming to the car.
- Dimensions. The figures above are for the Crew Cab short bed, SV 4x4; other body configurations differ in length, wheelbase and weight.
- Garage fit. Allow 17.6 ft of length and 7.1 ft of width with the mirrors out.
- Dimensions. PRO-4X models stand 72.9 inches tall and 74.7 inches wide over their fender flares.
- Bed. The short-bed length drops to 58.9 inches with the spray-in bedliner.
