Worth knowing about the 2017 Sentra

  • Connector. Both front blades use a j-hook connector. A blade of the right length with the wrong connector will not clip on, so check the connector before you buy.
  • Bulbs. The H11 low beam is for halogen headlights; LED headlights have a sealed low beam.
  • Spare. This vehicle carries a compact (temporary) spare.
  • Tire chains. The manual permits chains or cables of SAE Class S (low clearance), on the drive wheels only, fitted to the standard tire size. Chains for this size on Amazon →
  • Tires. SAE Class S chains may go only on 205/55R16 tires, never on 205/50R17.
  • Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 83 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
  • TPMS. New sensors on this car need a relearn (tool); they will not pair on their own by driving.
  • Key fob. Cars without the Intelligent Key use a separate key fob that takes a CR1620.
  • Dimensions. The figures above are for the S, SV and SL; other body configurations differ in length, wheelbase and weight.
