Worth knowing about the 2019 1500
- Bulbs. LED headlamp, fog and tail packages are sealed units, and premium backup lamps take a 7440.
- Tire chains. The manual permits chains or cables of SAE Class S (low clearance), on the drive wheels only, fitted to the standard tire size. Chains for this size on Amazon →
- Tires. The manual allows Class S chains on the rear tires only, and only on 275/65R18 and 275/55R20 tires.
- Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 130 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
- Key fob. Match the FCC ID (OHT-4882056) printed on the back of your fob when buying a replacement; the same car can use two fob designs in one year. A new fob still needs programming to the car.
- Key fob. Base trucks with a keyed ignition may carry a different remote, so match the fob in hand.
- Fuel. Quad Cabs hold 23 gallons, a 33-gallon tank is optional, and the 5.7-liter HEMI recommends 89 octane with 87 acceptable.
