Worth knowing about the 2015 Forester
- Wipers. RockAuto listings mix hook and push-button blades for these arms, so choose blades listed for this model.
- Bulbs. Models with HID headlamps use a dealer-serviced D4R low beam.
- Spare. This vehicle carries a compact (temporary) spare.
- Tire chains. The manual says not to fit tire chains on this vehicle; wheel-well clearance is too tight.
- Tires. The manual says tire chains cannot be used but allows another traction device such as spring chains if its maker recommends it, and the compact spare is a T145/80D17.
- Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 89 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
- Key fob. The push-button-start access key takes a CR1632.
- Roof load. The 150 lb roof limit is the dynamic figure for driving and includes the rack itself. It is not a limit for a rooftop tent when parked; the manual gives no static figure.
- Roof. The limit covers the rack and its load together.
- Fuel. The 2.0XT turbo recommends 93 octane and accepts 91.
