Worth knowing about the 2013 Impreza

  • Wipers. The 5-door also has a rear wiper whose length is not confirmed, so it is left out.
  • Bulbs. Models with HID low beams use a D2R bulb that a Subaru dealer replaces.
  • Spare. This vehicle carries a compact (temporary) spare, size T135/80D16. Search Amazon for spare tires →
  • Tire chains. The manual restricts tire chains on this vehicle. The limits are in the next note; read them before you fit anything.
  • Tires. The manual says tire chains cannot be used, and another traction device is acceptable only if its maker recommends it for this car.
  • Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 89 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
  • Roof load. The 176 lb roof limit is the dynamic figure for driving and includes the rack itself. It is not a limit for a rooftop tent when parked; the manual gives no static figure.
  • Roof. Models with factory roof rails are limited to 150 lb.
  • Dimensions. The figures above are for the 5-door; other body configurations differ in length, wheelbase and weight.
  • Dimensions. Sport models stand 59.5 in. tall with 5.9 in. of ground clearance.
