Worth knowing about the 2022 C-HR

  • LED lighting. The low beam, high beam, fog light, daytime running, brake light, tail light are sealed LED units with no user-replaceable bulb. A failure means replacing the assembly.
  • Spare. This vehicle carries a compact (temporary) spare.
  • Tire chains. The manual restricts tire chains on this vehicle. The limits are in the next note; read them before you fit anything.
  • Tires. The manual allows chains only on 17-inch tires, and every grade this year has 18-inch tires.
  • Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 76 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
  • TPMS. New sensors on this car will not pair on their own by driving; they need a relearn. Method: tool: new sensor IDs are registered by a Toyota dealer; after a tire size change, initialize the system from the multi-information display settings.
