Worth knowing about the 2007 Camry

  • Connector. Both front blades use a j-hook connector. A blade of the right length with the wrong connector will not clip on, so check the connector before you buy.
  • Bulbs. The 7443 serves the outer stop and tail lamps, and the separate inner tail lamps take a 194 or an unnumbered 5 W bulb depending on lamp type.
  • Spare. This vehicle carries a compact (temporary) spare.
  • Tire chains. The manual permits chains or cables, on the drive wheels only, fitted to the standard tire size. Chains for this size on Amazon →
  • Tires. Tire chains go on the front tires only (the manual sets no tire-size limit), and the compact spare is a T155/70D17.
  • Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 76 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
  • Wheels. The 2007 manual describes tapered-end wheel nuts, while later books in this generation give washer-type nuts for aluminum wheels.
  • TPMS. New sensors on this car need a relearn (tool (new sensor IDs are registered by a dealer; after a pressure change, re-initialize with the TPMS reset switch)); they will not pair on their own by driving.
  • Key fob. Cars with the smart key system use a smart key that takes a CR1632 instead.
