Worth knowing about the 2025 Corolla Cross

  • Wipers. Blade makers disagree on the passenger blade length, so check the old blade before buying.
  • LED lighting. The low beam, high beam, fog light, daytime running, rear turn signal, brake light are sealed LED units with no user-replaceable bulb. A failure means replacing the assembly.
  • Bulbs. The front turn signals and taillights are bulbs on some grades and LEDs on others.
  • Spare. This vehicle carries a compact (temporary) spare.
  • Tire chains. The manual says not to fit tire chains on this vehicle.
  • Tires. The hybrid carries a tire repair kit instead of a spare.
  • Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 76 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
  • Key fob. The smart key takes a CR2450 and the key without smart entry takes a CR2016.
  • Roof load. The 75 lb roof limit is the dynamic figure for driving and includes the rack itself. It is not a limit for a rooftop tent when parked; the manual gives no static figure.
  • Roof. The roof load limit applies to grades with roof rails.
  • Fuel. AWD models hold 13.2 gallons and the hybrid holds 10.6 gallons.
