Worth knowing about the 2026 Corolla

  • Connector. Both front blades use a j-hook connector. A blade of the right length with the wrong connector will not clip on, so check the connector before you buy.
  • Wipers. The 12-inch rear blade is on the hatchback only and uses a Toyota-specific mount (Rain-X R-12-2 fits).
  • LED lighting. The low beam, high beam, daytime running, brake light, tail light are sealed LED units with no user-replaceable bulb. A failure means replacing the assembly.
  • Bulbs. The 7444NA front bulb is only on sedans without mirror turn signals, the sedan manual gives wattages but no codes for its rear turn (21 W) and reverse (16 W) bulbs, and on the hatchback nearly every exterior light is LED.
  • Spare. This vehicle carries a compact (temporary) spare.
  • Tire chains. The manual permits chains or cables, on the drive wheels only, fitted to the standard tire size. Chains for this size on Amazon →
  • Tires. The compact spare is a T125/70D17 at 60 psi, some hatchbacks trade it for a repair kit, and chains go on the front tires only.
  • Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 76 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
  • Wheels. Steel wheels, including the steel spare, use conical-seat lug nuts.
  • Key fob. Sedan remote keys take a CR2032, while smart keys (standard on SE, XSE and the hatchback, packaged on LE) take a CR2450.
  • Dimensions. The figures above are for the Sedan (LE); other body configurations differ in length, wheelbase and weight.
  • Dimensions. The hatchback is 172.0 in. long on a 103.9-in. wheelbase.
  • Fuel. Sedans with 18-inch wheels and all hatchbacks have a 13.2-gallon tank.
