Worth knowing about the 2025 Prius

  • Wipers. The connector type is not confirmed, so choose blades listed for this model.
  • LED lighting. The low beam, high beam, daytime running, front turn signal, rear turn signal, brake light, tail light, reverse light, license plate are sealed LED units with no user-replaceable bulb. A failure means replacing the assembly.
  • Bulbs. Every exterior light is a sealed LED unit; the manual lists no replaceable exterior bulbs.
  • Tires. The manual allows tire chains on the front tires only and says they cannot be mounted on 195/50R19 tires, and a T145/90D16 compact spare is fitted only on some models.
  • Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 76 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
  • Key fob. Toyota fitted both 3-button and 4-button (hatch) smart keys to this Prius, so match the FCC ID on the back of your key.
  • Roof load. The 176.4 lb roof limit is the dynamic figure for driving and includes the rack itself. It is not a limit for a rooftop tent when parked; the manual gives no static figure.
  • Roof. The limit applies to cargo on a roof luggage carrier, where fitted.
  • Dimensions. Height is 56.3 in on models with 19-in. tires.
  • Fuel. AWD models have a 10.6-gal tank.
