Bed lengths are the maker's nominal figures measured at the floor. Tonneau covers and liners are sold by the nominal length (5-ft, 6-ft, 8-ft), so match that, not the inch figure.

Worth knowing about the 2011 Tacoma
- Connector. Both front blades use a j-hook connector. A blade of the right length with the wrong connector will not clip on, so check the connector before you buy.
- LED lighting. The brake light, tail light are sealed LED units with no user-replaceable bulb. A failure means replacing the assembly.
- Bulbs. One dual-filament HB2 (9003) bulb per side serves both the low and high beams.
- Spare. This vehicle carries a full-size spare.
- Tire chains. The manual permits chains or cables, on the drive wheels only, fitted to the standard tire size. Chains for this size on Amazon →
- Tires. Tire chains go on the rear tires only (the manual sets no tire-size limit), and the P215/70R15 size fits two-wheel-drive trucks other than the PreRunner, which use a 5x114.3 pattern with a 60.1 mm bore.
- Wheels. The manual prints 83 ft-lbf in its specifications and 85 ft-lbf in the tire-change steps, and aluminum wheels take washer-seat nuts while steel wheels, including a steel spare, take conical-seat nuts.
- TPMS. New sensors on this car need a relearn (tool (new sensor IDs are registered by a dealer; after a rotation or pressure change, re-initialize with the TPMS reset switch)); they will not pair on their own by driving.
- Dimensions. The figures above are for the Double Cab short bed 4x4 V6 automatic; other body configurations differ in length, wheelbase and weight.
