Worth knowing about the 2007 Tundra

  • Bulbs. The manual gives no bulb number for the 55 W low beam.
  • Tire chains. The manual permits tire chains or cables, within limits on which tires and which wheels. Those limits are in the next note; read them before you fit anything. Search Amazon for tire chains →
  • Tires. The manual allows tire chains on the rear tires only.
  • Torque. Alloy and steel wheels on this vehicle take different lug nuts and different torque (97 and 154 ft-lbs, per the owner's manual). Check which wheels you have, including the spare, and never swap nuts between them. Tighten in a star pattern with a torque wrench and re-check after 50 miles.
  • TPMS. New sensors on this car will not pair on their own by driving; they need a relearn. Method: tool (new sensor ID codes are registered by a Toyota dealer).
