Worth knowing about the 2021 Venza

  • Wipers. The connector types are not confirmed, so choose blades listed for this model.
  • LED lighting. The low beam, high beam, daytime running, front turn signal, rear turn signal, brake light, tail light, reverse light, license plate are sealed LED units with no user-replaceable bulb. A failure means replacing the assembly.
  • Bulbs. Every exterior light is a sealed LED unit; the manual lists only the mirror foot-light bulb.
  • Spare. This vehicle carries a compact (temporary) spare.
  • Tires. The manual allows tire chains on the front tires only and says they cannot be mounted on 225/55R19 tires, and the compact spare is a T165/80D17.
  • Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 76 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
  • Key fob. Match the FCC ID (HYQ14FBX) printed on the back of your fob when buying a replacement; the same car can use two fob designs in one year. A new fob still needs programming to the car.
  • Roof load. The 176.4 lb roof limit is the dynamic figure for driving and includes the rack itself. It is not a limit for a rooftop tent when parked; the manual gives no static figure.
  • Roof. Models with the panoramic roof have no roof rails.
  • Dimensions. The figures above are for the LE; other body configurations differ in length, wheelbase and weight.
