Worth knowing about the 2023 Tiguan
- Wipers. The front arms use a narrow push-button fitting rather than a hook, and the rear blade is a model-specific part, so choose blades listed for the Tiguan.

- Tires. The manual allows snow chains on the front wheels only, on 215/65R17 and 235/55R18 tires, and SE R-Line Black models are listed with either 235/50R19 or 255/45R19 tires, so check your placard.
- Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 103 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
- Wheels. The wheels are held by M14 x 1.5 wheel bolts that thread into the hub rather than by nuts, and the manual gives one torque for steel and alloy wheels.
- Roof load. The 165 lb roof limit is the dynamic figure for driving and includes the rack itself. It is not a limit for a rooftop tent when parked; the manual gives no static figure.
- Garage fit. Allow 15.6 ft of length and 6.9 ft of width with the mirrors out.
- Dimensions. All-wheel-drive models have 7.6 inches of ground clearance.
