Worth knowing about the 2014 300
- LED lighting. The daytime running, rear turn signal, brake light, tail light are sealed LED units with no user-replaceable bulb. A failure means replacing the assembly.
- Bulbs. The manual lists HIR2LL (9012) bi-halogen headlamps, and models with HID headlamps use D3S bulbs that a dealer services.
- Tire chains. The manual permits chains or cables, on the drive wheels only, fitted to the standard tire size. Chains for this size on Amazon →
- Tires. The manual allows rear-only devices on two sizes only: a low-profile type with no more than 6 mm projection on the RWD 235/55R18 and an SAE Class S type on the AWD P235/55R19.
- Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 130 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
- Fuel. The 5.7-liter V8 recommends 89 octane, with 87 acceptable.
