Worth knowing about the 2019 300

  • LED lighting. The fog light, daytime running, rear turn signal, brake light, tail light, reverse light, license plate are sealed LED units with no user-replaceable bulb. A failure means replacing the assembly.
  • Bulbs. The manual lists 9005HL+ bi-halogen headlamps, and models with HID headlamps use D3S bulbs that a dealer services.
  • Tire chains. The manual permits chains or cables, on the drive wheels only, fitted to the standard tire size. Chains for this size on Amazon →
  • Tires. The manual calls for rear-only devices: a Peerless Super Z6 low-profile type on the RWD P215/65R17 and P225/60R18 and an SAE Class S type on the AWD P235/55R19.
  • Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 130 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
  • Fuel. The 5.7-liter V8 recommends 89 octane, with 87 acceptable.
