Worth knowing about the 2015 Edge

  • Wipers. The manual names rear blade WW-1413 while RockAuto lists WW-1414, so buy the rear blade by part number.
  • LED lighting. The rear turn signal, brake light, tail light, reverse light, dome / map light are sealed LED units with no user-replaceable bulb. A failure means replacing the assembly.
  • Bulbs. Vehicles with high-intensity discharge headlamps use a D3S bulb for both beams, and vehicles with LED daytime running lamps have sealed LED units in place of the H15.
  • Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 150 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
  • Wheels. Retighten the lug nuts to 150 lb-ft within 100 miles after any wheel is removed, as the manual directs.
  • Key fob. The integrated keyhead transmitter key used without push-button start takes one CR2032.
  • Roof load. The 145 lb roof limit is the dynamic figure for driving and includes the rack itself. It is not a limit for a rooftop tent when parked; the manual gives no static figure.
  • Fuel. All-wheel-drive models hold 18.5 gallons.
