Worth knowing about the 2017 Fusion
- Wipers. Blade makers list 25 or 26 inches for the passenger side (Motorcraft WW-2700), and Rain-X lists an insert-and-lock arm, so choose blades listed for this car.
- LED lighting. The rear turn signal, brake light, tail light, dome / map light are sealed LED units with no user-replaceable bulb. A failure means replacing the assembly.
- Tires. The manual allows cables or chains no larger than 15 mm on the front axle only with 215/60R16 tires and on no other size.
- Wheels. The manual gives 100 lb-ft on M12 x 1.5 nuts for the 1.5L, 2.0L and 2.5L models (the Hybrid book also gives 100 lb-ft) and 150 lb-ft on M14 x 1.5 nuts for the 2.7L EcoBoost Sport.
- Key fob. Match the FCC ID (M3N-A2C93142300) printed on the back of your fob when buying a replacement; the same car can use two fob designs in one year. A new fob still needs programming to the car.
- Key fob. The button count and part number vary with options such as remote start.
- Octane. The manual requires 87 octane and recommends 91 for full performance. Regular will not harm the engine; premium is a choice, not a requirement.
- Fuel. All-wheel-drive models hold 18.0 gallons.
