Worth knowing about the 2022 Canyon
- Tire chains. The manual permits chains or cables, on the drive wheels only, fitted to the standard tire size. Chains for this size on Amazon →
- Tires. Chains go on the rear tires only and never on the 255/55R20, 255/65R17 all-terrain, 265/60R18 and 265/65R17 sizes; sizes are matched to trims by the brochure's wheel diameters, so check the door placard.
- Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 140 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
- Key fob. Match the FCC ID (M3N32337100) printed on the back of your fob when buying a replacement; the same car can use two fob designs in one year. A new fob still needs programming to the car.
- Key fob. The remote came in a 3-button version and a 4-button version with remote start.
- Fuel. A 2.8L Duramax turbo-diesel was also offered and takes diesel fuel.
