Worth knowing about the 2023 Canyon
- LED lighting. The low beam, high beam are sealed LED units with no user-replaceable bulb. A failure means replacing the assembly.
- Tire chains. The manual says not to fit tire chains on this vehicle; wheel-well clearance is too tight.
- Tires. The manual says not to use tire chains.
- Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 140 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
- Wheels. The 2023 redesign moved to the 6x139.7 pattern, so wheels from a 2015-2022 truck do not fit.
- Key fob. Match the FCC ID (YG0G21TB2) printed on the back of your fob when buying a replacement; the same car can use two fob designs in one year. A new fob still needs programming to the car.
