Worth knowing about the 2021 Veloster

  • Connector. Both front blades use a j-hook connector. A blade of the right length with the wrong connector will not clip on, so check the connector before you buy.
  • LED lighting. The daytime running is a sealed LED unit with no user-replaceable bulb. A failure means replacing the assembly.
  • Bulbs. Cars with LED headlamps (type B) have a sealed LED low beam and LED stop and tail lamps.
  • Spare. This vehicle carries a compact (temporary) spare, size T125/80D16. Search Amazon for spare tires →
  • Tires. The manual advises against chains on aluminum wheels and allows only wire or fabric chains on the front tires.
  • Wheels. The manual gives a lug nut torque range of 79~94 lb-ft.
  • Key fob. The remote key and the smart key both take a CR2032.
  • Dimensions. The 1.6 Turbo has a GVWR of 3,814 lb with the manual gearbox and 3,858 lb with the DCT.
