Worth knowing about the 2013 Grand Cherokee
- Connector. Both front blades use a j-hook connector. A blade of the right length with the wrong connector will not clip on, so check the connector before you buy.
- Bulbs. HID-equipped models use a dealer-serviced D1S low beam.
- Tire chains. The manual permits chains or cables, on the drive wheels only, fitted to the standard tire size. Chains for this size on Amazon →
- Tires. The manual calls for rear-only, low-profile traction devices such as the Security Chain Company Super Z6 on the P265/60R18 and 265/50R20 sizes.
- Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 110 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
- Wheels. SRT8 and SRT models are covered by their own owner's manual and are not included here.
- Key fob. Match the FCC ID (IYZ-C01C) printed on the back of your fob when buying a replacement; the same car can use two fob designs in one year. A new fob still needs programming to the car.
- Key fob. The Fobik key also carries FCC ID M3N5WY783X and comes in several button layouts, so match the buttons on your key.
- Roof load. The 150 lb roof limit is the dynamic figure for driving and includes the rack itself. It is not a limit for a rooftop tent when parked; the manual gives no static figure.
- Dimensions. Height is at the roof rails.
- Fuel. The 5.7-liter V8 recommends 89 octane, with 87 acceptable.
