Worth knowing about the 2014 Grand Cherokee
- Connector. Both front blades use a j-hook connector. A blade of the right length with the wrong connector will not clip on, so check the connector before you buy.
- LED lighting. The tail light, license plate are sealed LED units with no user-replaceable bulb. A failure means replacing the assembly.
- Bulbs. The manual lists the front park and turn bulb only as a T20 wedge, RockAuto lists it as 7444NA, and premium lamps use D3S HID headlamps and LED turn and running lamps that a dealer services.
- Tire chains. The manual permits chains or cables, on the drive wheels only, fitted to the standard tire size. Chains for this size on Amazon →
- Tires. The manual calls for rear-only, low-profile traction devices such as the Security Chain Company Super Z6 on the P265/60R18 and 265/50R20 sizes.
- Wheels. Printings of the 2014 manual disagree (110 ft-lbf in one, 130 ft-lbf in the revised edition and User Guide), and no SRT figure was confirmed.
- Key fob. Match the FCC ID (M3N-40821302) printed on the back of your fob when buying a replacement; the same car can use two fob designs in one year. A new fob still needs programming to the car.
- Key fob. The fob comes in 3-, 4- and 5-button versions, and the part number follows the buttons.
- Roof load. The 150 lb roof limit is the dynamic figure for driving and includes the rack itself. It is not a limit for a rooftop tent when parked; the manual gives no static figure.
- Dimensions. Height is at the roof rails.
- Fuel. The 5.7-liter V8 recommends 89 octane, with 87 acceptable.
