Worth knowing about the 2026 Wrangler
- LED lighting. The license plate is a sealed LED unit with no user-replaceable bulb. A failure means replacing the assembly.
- Bulbs. Halogen Sahara and Rubicon models use a 7440NA front turn bulb, and LED headlamp, fog and tail packages are sealed units.

- Tires. The manual allows Class S chains only on the Sport's 245/75R17 tires, rear axle only, and AutoSock-type devices on the other factory sizes.
- Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 130 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
- Wheels. The spare wheel on the swing-gate carrier takes 59 ft-lb, per the owner's manual.
- Key fob. No locksmith catalog yet confirms the 2026 fob's FCC ID.
- Roof load. The 100 lb roof limit is the dynamic figure for driving and includes the rack itself. It is not a limit for a rooftop tent when parked; the manual gives no static figure.
- Roof. The limit applies to the hard top only, crossbars included.
- Fuel. Two-door models hold 17.5 gallons, 4xe models 17.2, and the 6.4-liter V8 requires 91 octane.
