Worth knowing about the 2025 GX
- LED lighting. The low beam, high beam, fog light, daytime running, front turn signal, rear turn signal, brake light, tail light, reverse light, license plate are sealed LED units with no user-replaceable bulb. A failure means replacing the assembly.
- Spare. This vehicle carries a full-size spare.
- Tire chains. The manual permits tire chains or cables, within limits on which tires and which wheels. Those limits are in the next note; read them before you fit anything. Search Amazon for tire chains →
- Tires. Tire chains fit only the 265/55R20 tires and go on the rear tires only; 18-in and 22-in cars cannot take chains.
- Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 97 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
- Roof load. The 165 lb roof limit is the dynamic figure for driving and includes the rack itself. It is not a limit for a rooftop tent when parked; the manual gives no static figure.
- Roof. The limit applies to the roof luggage carrier on the roof rails.
- Dimensions. Width and height vary with wheel size, and the manual prints them only reliably in millimetres (1990 to 2000 mm wide, 1915 to 1935 mm tall).
- Octane. Premium (91 octane) is required, not recommended; the manual says so.
