Worth knowing about the 2022 NX
- Connector. Both front blades use a j-hook connector. A blade of the right length with the wrong connector will not clip on, so check the connector before you buy.
- Wipers. Rain-X lists a Toyota-type rear arm, so choose a rear blade listed for this model.
- LED lighting. The low beam, high beam, fog light, daytime running, rear turn signal, brake light, tail light, reverse light, license plate are sealed LED units with no user-replaceable bulb. A failure means replacing the assembly.
- Bulbs. The WY21W front turn bulb applies to models with bulb-type front turn signals; the others use sealed LED units.
- Tire chains. The manual permits chains or cables, on the drive wheels only, fitted to the standard tire size. Chains for this size on Amazon →
- Tires. Tire chains cannot be fitted to 235/50R20 tires, and the manual lists a T165/90D18 compact spare for some 18-in models while others carry a puncture repair kit.
- Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 103 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
- Wheels. This generation uses wheel bolts rather than lug nuts.
- Key fob. Match the FCC ID (HYQ14FLC) printed on the back of your fob when buying a replacement; the same car can use two fob designs in one year. A new fob still needs programming to the car.
- Roof load. The 176 lb roof limit is the dynamic figure for driving and includes the rack itself. It is not a limit for a rooftop tent when parked; the manual gives no static figure.
- Roof. The limit applies to vehicles with roof rails.
- Dimensions. Height is 65.4 in. with 18-in tires and 65.7 in. with 20-in tires.
- Fuel. The gasoline NX 250 takes 87 octane, the NX 350 turbo requires 91, the NX 350h hybrid takes 87 with 91 recommended, and every version holds 14.5 gal.
