Worth knowing about the 2017 Avalon

  • Connector. Both front blades use a j-hook connector. A blade of the right length with the wrong connector will not clip on, so check the connector before you buy.
  • Tires. The Limited could be ordered with 17-in. wheels.
  • Wheels. Toyota does not host the 2017 owner's manual publicly, so the lug nut torque is left blank; the 2016 and 2018 books both print 76 ft-lbf.
  • Key fob. Match the FCC ID (HYQ14FBA) printed on the back of your fob when buying a replacement; the same car can use two fob designs in one year. A new fob still needs programming to the car.
