Worth knowing about the 2015 Q50

  • Connector. Both front blades use a j-hook connector. A blade of the right length with the wrong connector will not clip on, so check the connector before you buy.
  • LED lighting. The low beam, high beam, fog light, brake light are sealed LED units with no user-replaceable bulb. A failure means replacing the assembly.
  • Spare. This vehicle carries run-flat tires and no spare.
  • Tire chains. The manual permits chains or cables of SAE Class S (low clearance), on the drive wheels only, fitted to the standard tire size. Chains for this size on Amazon →
  • Tires. Most trims ride on run-flat tires, the Performance Wheel Package uses conventional staggered summer tires with a temporary T145/70R18 spare, and Class S chains go on the rear wheels only, never on the 265/35R19 tires.
  • Torque. Tighten lug nuts to 80 ft-lbs in a star pattern with a torque wrench, and re-check after the first 50 miles. This figure is from the owner's manual; an impact gun will overshoot it.
